BATTLE ACTION "Veteran!"

Ten-Hut!
...is another never-reprinted Korean War tale of a "veteran"!
What is the "real" definition of a veteran?
Technically, the sarge in this tale was one, though he had never seen combat!
And though his combat experience was minimal, when push came to shove, he came through like a champ!
Published during the Korean War, this story from Atlas Comics' Battle Action #11 (1953)
Illustrator Bill Walton was a journeyman with work at Ace, Eastern Color, Fiction House, and Lev Gleason (as well as Atlas) on war, horror, crime, and Western titles.
Tomorrow, the conclusion of our min-marathon with another tale about a "veteran"...

ACTION ADVENTURE COMICS "Veteran!"

Ten-Hut!
We're making Veterans' Day into Veterans' Weekend with a three-day marathon...
...of never-reprinted comics tales all entitled "Veteran"!
The story taking point in the formation is from Stanley Morse's Action Adventure Comics #2 (1955).
It's a straightforward tale, simple and effective of the (then) just-ended Korean War.
Regrettably, both the writer and artist are unknown.
Be here tomorrow, when we continue our Veterans' Weekend mini-marathon.
Until then...

ALIEN WORLDS "Pi in the Sky"

Ten-Hut!
We haven't been covering the "future" part of our blog's title recently...
...but that's about to change, as is the life of the story's protaganist!
This never-reprinted tale from Eclipse's Alien Worlds #3 (1983) is, perhaps, a warning of what America (and mankind) may end up like if a certain mango-hued moron wins the election.
